In laser liposuction, thin fiber-optic lasers or pads with laser diodes attached to them are used on the areas that require fat removal. These thin fiber-optic tubes or diodes emit laser light and heat to melt the stubborn fat. Once the fat deposits become loose, the fat naturally drains out of the body through the lymphatic system. The laser and heat that is emitted from the fiber-optic tubes or diodes help to repair the surrounding skin cells. As a result, the skin becomes tighter and firmer than before. After the treatment, patients may experience slight bruising and swelling on the treated areas, but once the swelling subsides, they will notice a toned lower body.
